Gel Wax, Candle Gel, Transparent Candle 15 Kilograms
- Gel wax is a solid transparent soft product.
- It has a lifespan 4 times longer than regular candles.
- By using transparent gel wax with the ability to see objects placed inside the container, you can create decorative candles.
How to Make Gel Wax?
- Fill a container with water and heat it on the stove to melt the gel wax in a double boiler style.
- Regularly stir the melting gel wax in a double boiler style.
- Once the gel is melted, add the wick, wick holder, optional color, and fragrance into the selected container.
- Since gel wax is oil-based, it is recommended not to use water-based colors. Those who want to color it can use a small amount of pigment dye at the tip of a toothpick to color the gel.
- Place the wicks in the containers. The wicks should remain fixed in the center of the holders. If they are not adhesive, melt a candle and drip it at the bottom of the container to fix the holder in the center.
- You can pour the hot gel wax into glass containers and the lukewarm wax into mica boxes.
- Fill the container halfway with melted gel and wait for the gel to solidify. This will happen at 32 degrees Celsius. If you fill it all the way, bubbles may form due to minor reactions with the materials on the bottom, causing your candle to have bubbles.
- Wait for 5-10 minutes for these bubbles to disappear. Then fill the remaining part of the container and let it solidify.
- Things to be careful about;
- There should be absolutely no water or anything else in the container you will melt the gel in, as even a drop of water will cloud the entire gel wax.
- When pouring the liquid gel wax that you have melted from the stove, pour it slowly and from a low height, otherwise bubbles will form.
- Do not move the container with the poured gel wax until it is completely solidified.
