How to Make Gel Wax Candles?

• Fill a container with water and heat it on the stove as a double boiler to melt the solid gel wax.
• Stir the melting gel wax regularly as you melt it using the double boiler method.
• Once the gel is melted, add the wick, wick holder, optional color, and fragrance into the selected container.
• Since gel wax is oil-based, it is recommended not to use water-based colors. Those who want to color the gel can use a small amount of pigment dye at the tip of a toothpick to color the gel.
• Place the wicks in the containers. The wicks' holders ensure that the wicks remain fixed in the center. If the wicks do not have adhesive holders, drip some melted wax at the bottom of the container to secure the wick in the center.
• You can pour the hot gel wax into glass containers and transfer it into mica containers when it cools down.
• Fill the container halfway with melted gel and allow it to solidify for a while. This will happen at 32 degrees Celsius. If you fill it all at once, tiny reactions with the materials on the surface can cause bubbles to form, resulting in a bubbly candle.
• Wait for 5-10 minutes for these bubbles to disappear. Then fill the remaining part of the container and let it solidify.
• Things to pay attention to;
• There should be absolutely no water or anything else in the container you will use to melt the gel; even a drop of water will cloud the entire gel wax.
• When pouring the liquid gel wax you melted off the stove, pour it slowly and from a low height; otherwise, bubbles will form.
• Do not move the container with the poured gel wax until it is completely solidified.
