Product Specifications
- Soy Wax is a vegetable wax made from soybean oil.
- Soy Wax contains %100 hydrogenated soy oil.
- Suitable for container candles and aromatherapy candles.
- Does not produce soot or smoke when burned.
- Soy Wax has a melting point of 70°C.
- It has a cream or off-white color.
- It has a light natural soy scent.
- After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated.
- The hydrogenation process converts some unsaturated fatty acids in the oil to saturated. This process significantly changes the oil's melting point, solidifying it at room temperature.
- A well-made soy wax candle will burn clean and slow to your customers' delight.
- It comes in broken plates shape and has a shelf life of 2 years. Adding a hardener such as Stearic Acid (Stearin) to Soy Wax will compromise its naturalness. Because Stearic Acid is a saturated fatty acid. Soy Wax does not show significant or very little shrinkage. How to Make Candles with Soy Wax
- Fill a suitable container with water for melting the Soy Wax using a double boiler method and place it on the stove.
- Melt the Soy Wax using a double boiler method, making sure to stir the melting soy wax to remove any solid pieces.
- You can add candle dyes and fragrances according to your desired color. (Fragrance ratio %3-%5)
- Place wicks in the containers you will use. Ensuring that the wicks remain fixed in the center. If they do not have adhesive holders, drip some melted wax at the bottom of the container to secure the wick in the center.
- Pour the melted Soy Wax into the container. Make sure the wick stands straight in the center.
- Trim the excess length of the wick and let your candle sit at room temperature for one night.
