- White Silica gel (silicon dioxide) is a natural compound of silicon and oxygen found in sand.
- Silica Gels are designed with great precision to achieve high efficiency.
- It is the most widely used moisture absorbent worldwide due to its high moisture adsorption property.
- It does not affect its oil properties when mixed with trophic oils, making it safe to use.
- At %80 relative humidity and 25 °C, it is capable of absorbing more than %40 of its weight in moisture.
- It is a non-toxic substance that does not react. It is protective against corrosion.
- Its dust-free nature and high adsorption capacity make Silica Gel stand out.
- Particle size ranges between 3-5 mm.
- Xn Harmful
Areas of Use:
- Used to protect equipment by absorbing moisture, and after absorbing moisture, the color turns pink to indicate the humidity level of the environment.
- In the medical field, it is used as bioactive glasses, which demonstrate good biocompatibility in soft tissue and are used in oral and maxillofacial augmentation as silica-based, surface-active bone structures.
- Used in protecting electronic products in environments where moisture and humidity are undesirable, in power plants, storage areas, tanks, medications, food preservation.
- Commonly used in precision tools, leather, shoes, clothing, food, medications, and household appliances.
